Villa Luce
Varese, Italy
This project was recently featured in Architectural Digest Italia. My client, Danielle, is a very talented fashion and textile designer. It was a treat to work with her on her new home.
The house was empty for over twenty years. Danielle saw that the house had great bones. However, it used to be the Piano Nobile of the villa. These floors were the formal ones. Great ceiling height but not a good layout for a family with young children an a dog. We had to come up with creative solutions to turn an empty grand space into a warm and comfortable home.
The Before and After of the Hallway. There were not closets in the space. Which wasn’t practical. This solution is colorful and functional.
The Before and After of the kitchen nook. Danielle designed and hand painted the table.
